Hey guys, Every one ready to ride? It looks like the weather is going to be OK. Does anyone know what the deal is with the Ride-On people. I saw a post that said they will provide Ride-On for one bike per registered rider. Things such as if this is true, Cost, location, day and time? Is anyone at the KOA this ride?

Combo,
I received all the Ride-On product this past week. They sent us 10 gallons of Ride-On and a pump. We will be dispensing it to the riders in the evenings. It is free to all registered riders (until we run out of product, that is). I'm having my son & Wolfgang (a fellow rider who not only got us the Ride-On sponsorship but who has also volunteered to help dispense it) handle putting it in the tires and am suggesting a $1 per tire donation to compensate them for their time & efforts.

I'll be there Thursday afternoon if I can work around the rubber check someone gave me. Save me some Ride-On, but I'm still bringing an extra tube.

Here's the feedback about Ride-On:
About 60% of the riders took advantage of the Ride-On product and had it put into their tires.
I surveyed all the riders at the banquet on Saturday night and 5 people got flats during the weekend. None of them had Ride-On in their tires prior to the flat.
One rider picked up a nail prior to putting Ride-On in his tires. Here is what he had to say:
"Initially I declined the free offer for the Ride-On. I had gotten a roofing staple in my tire (rear) here in Junction and lost air. Wolfgang was set-up with his equipment at the Legends Motel. We got my tire filled with the Ride-On product. Filled it up with air and I rode it for 5 miles. Came back to take out the staple & air escaped along with Ride-On. I let it settle for about 5 minutes and then refilled with air. Drove around for another 5 miles and checked tire. The leak sealed and the tire retained its pressure. The next day I put 264 miles on that tire with great results. I'm now a firm believer of your product." (Thanks, Freddie, for sharing this report with us.)
In summary, Ride-On did a great job for us this weekend. Thanks to Alex of Ride-On for supporting our ride with this excellent product.

40% of the bikes did not have Ride-On, and that 40% accounted for 100% of the flats. That's strong evidence that Ride-On actually works. Let's hope that Ride-On repeats the real-world test next year.
