Well, I had a GREAT time! How 'bout you guys?
Thanks so much to Richard and his wife Connie for putting on this wonderful event, and to Chuger 650 for letting me know about it. Met lots of new folks with equally twisted minds... (or worse!).
I did #3, and a partial, modified #6 with Rusty (WoodButcher) and Chuck (CeeBee). Thanks to them both for putting up with me. So many water crossings, I lost count. Can't believe I got through all of them (note for next year- don't wear ventilated boots...). Rusty and his GPS found an alternate route on Sat. for us that ROCKED! Hope Richard puts it in next year's ride guide.
Got the SMC washed (laundry, unpacking?- MANANA!), and cleaned up the mug mark on my left muffler from the first bump gate on CR 410- those 2 gates on CR 410 were WAY stiffer than any of the bump gates on route #3 (Rusty got 5 of of us at a time thru the #3 gates). The rattlesnake Rusty ran over was probably the most dangerous obstacle- boy howdee-was he ever mad!
Hope everybody made home (or wherever) safe and sound.
Later,
Lori M.
PS- To the fast guy on the KTM who was taking pictures at one of the water crossings on #3 on Fri., I think you might have taken one of me (KTM SuperMoto, neon jacket). I wouldn't mind having a copy of it (hint, hint, beg, beg). Thanks!
PPS- Thanks to my hubby, Kevin, who found the short in my bike last Sun. when I had no turn signals or brake light, and thought I'd have to scratch the whole ride! Saved my vacation! What a guy! I am so lucky!
See you all next year!
